A New Years Revolution
A New Years Revolution
You say new years, I say new fears.
You say resolution, I say revolution.
Having fallen from the precipice of 2006 into the uncharted valley of 2-double-o-7, you may find yourself contemplating the upcoming year. You may even be one of the fashionable citizens of this earth planet who likes to make new years resolutions; might I suggest swapping a ‘v’ for the ‘s’? However, don’t take this the wrong way. It is with all humility and deference that I submit this significantly minor modification for your consideration. I don’t mean to impose and I certainly do not doubt that you have a deep and meaningful resolution. Nor do I assume any inability to abide by it for more than 3 weeks. It is not like that. I have full faith in the acumen and determination of the average consumer. Their great depth of knowledge and foresight have been proven time and again, as has their propensity to always act for the ultimate well being of present and future generations. (I write this as a 60 degree January breeze blows through my Northern United States window. In fact I haven’t even seen snow all year.)
This is the proposition: let us make our resolution a revolution, a revolution of consciousness. Not a revolution that is violent, non-violent, anti-government, pro-government, rather a revolution of the mind. It must be an internal revolution based on love.

Finding Peace in an Age of Strife
In a world of increasing conflict, chaos, and destruction, people are desperately seeking some way to counteract the onslaught of imminent disaster. His Holiness Radhanath Swami spoke at NYU to address these issues. We felt it quite relevant to our involvement at this years Burning Man in contributing to the theme “Hope and Fear: The […]
